We will be examining the need to 'come out' as autistic in media, the Minkus Rule (my own invention), and characters that are not canonically not autistic. This class will explore concepts of queer theory blended with disability studies and characters that can be read as autistic without making changes to the plots of their stories. The presentation may not take the full two hours but I wanted to add in time for discussion!
