DESCRIPTION:Yoga refers to a group of mental\, physical\, and spiritual pra
 ctices aimed at integrating the mind and body\, first developed in India ea
 rly in the first millennium BCE.1  Modern day research shows that yoga is e
 ffective at helping practitioners better focus their attention\, combat str
 ess\, and intentionally regulate the sympathetic and parasympathetic aspect
 s of their nervous systems.2\,3  Yoga can also be an effective adjunct in t
 reating anxiety\, depression\, trauma\, eating disorders\, and addictions.2
 \,3 \n\n \n\nThis drop-in group is free and open to all current Reed studen
 ts. No previous yoga experience is necessary\, and all body types are welco
 me!  Please arrive a few minutes early to give yourself time to settle in f
 or the session\, and wear clothes that are comfortable to move in.\n\n \n\n
