In order to help protect the health of event participants and our community, Reed College is following the advice of the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding mass gatherings and large community events. Some programs and events at Reed may be canceled or postponed due to COVID-19 prevention efforts.
Prior to attending an event, we strongly encourage you to check Reed’s events calendar at events.reed.edu for status updates. Questions? Please contact the conference & events planning office at 503-777-7522.
The CTL will be hosting a series of “Tips and Idea-Swapping Sessions” tailored to MNS-, HSS- and the Humanities-ish teaching. Of course, there is lots of overlap, so you may want to join all of them. Members of the ITS team will be at all the meetings, as will Sasha Rehm, (Curry School of Education, UVA) to compliment the wisdom of our colleagues. All of the sessions will be held via Zoom. No need to RSVP. Just click on the relevant link. (Please note: these sessions will be recorded so that they can be made available to folks unable to join. If you do not wish to be recorded, you can join, mute your mic and turn off your video.)
In this session, Char Makley (Anthropology), Jennifer Corpus (Psychology), and Mary Ashburn Miller (History) will offer tips about teaching online tailored to the HSS crowd. Please come and swap ideas!
