Rawr! Ursinology 101 will give Reedies a chance to nerd out with fellow enthusiasts about these wonderful fuzzy mammals. Day 1 will cover the science and evolution of bears as well as a very “scientifically rigorous” way to discover which of the 8 species of bears you are. Day 2 will cover bears in culture, from global worship of bears across the world to Freddie Fazbear, Winnie the Pooh, and every iconic bear in between. Day 3 will cover some of the serious issues threatening bears today, bear conservation efforts, and will present the documentary Beartrek, which is about four such efforts across the globe.
