A production of the Reed College theatre department. Written by Julia Cho and directed by Barbie Wu.

What does it mean to preserve a language? Ask George, a linguist. Or Emma, his lab assistant. Or Alta and Resten, the last speakers of Elloway. Or Mary, a woman forging her own path. Follow them on a journey that includes languages, love, and struggles to communicate—and fresh bread.

Content warnings: This show contains suicidal ideation, illness, and mentions of death and cultural erasure.

ASL interpretation will be provided on April 12. Audience members are encouraged to wear masks during the performance.

Open to the public. Purchase tickets here.
