About this Event
This course offers a guide to how different areas of knowledge seek to understand the world. We will explore questions such as: Is mathematics invented or discovered? Is everything art? Is language necessary for the construction of knowledge in the natural sciences? This course ultimately seeks to cover five disciplines in order of subjectivity: mathematics, natural sciences, human sciences, history and the arts. Hopefully, we will be able to take a step back and develop an appreciation for how the disciplines we’ve come to love have blossomed into what they are today.
This is a 5-part series class.
