This course will be a lecture-style conference where I break down and analyze, section by section, the complicated political intricacies present in the Star Wars movies and compare their similarities to real-world politics and events, both historical and contemporary. There will also be a focus on how some of the older movies still relate to current events. Students are welcome to raise their hands for questions or comments. All discussions will be approached from an entry-level perspective, I.E., they will also accommodate people who aren't as familiar with the movies or have not seen them in a long time.
