Tea is a commodity and art that has existed for thousands of years, and continues to be developed to this day. Though teabags are the most common way Westerners consume it, the tools and techniques used in making good tea have changed across dynasties. This class will cover the most notable methods of brewing tea in China and Taiwan, as well as the teaware involved, and will also include some live brewing demonstrations with samples for attendees to taste.
