Have you ever wanted to learn about tasting notes in coffee, chocolate, wine, Educational Technology Center, but been put off by all of the snobs and general attitude of elitism? Well, this class is for you! We will learn about the basics of critical tasting through the lens of specialty coffee (in an informal and welcoming way). We'll start by going through the basics of coffee processing and brewing, followed by a guided tasting called a "cupping" where we will drink coffee from local roasters in Portland.
