Within this beginner's tango class, students will learn about the unique beauty of Tango, a social dance originally from Argentina. This tango class introduces new students (from all walks of life) to the world of Tango through fun exercises coupled with essential technical skills. As such, a quick warm up at the beginning of class will be followed by the essential beginner tips in tango as well as fun exercises to practice the inherent connection that is created between dancers. As a partner dance, tango cannot deny the value of connecting with your partner. This connection provides the opportunity for dancers to create a story together over the course of a song. Musicality, finding freedom in movement and expressing and finding one's own voice in the dance will all be considered. All in all, for the wonderful dance that it is, these classes are made to be fun and allow students to explore the dance within their authentic selves! All are welcome, no prior experience necessary!
