Have you ever attempted the Sudoku puzzles on the Quest? Do you want to learn more about Sudoku? In this series of classes, I'll give a self-contained crash course in classical sudoku puzzles accessible to, at least logically speaking, sudoku lovers of all levels. My emphasis throughout this series will be on motivations and logical foundations for assorted techniques in solving a sudoku puzzle - you might have heard that the "propre" way of solving a sudoku puzzle should avoid uneducated guessing at all costs, and all these techniques are just formal expressions of an "educated guess"~ Courses progress in difficulty culminating with a contest (with prizes!), and you're welcome to participate in any or all of these sessions according to your interest in reference to the tentative schedule below. Beware of the innocuous looks of these puzzles: they can get really challenging!
