The nature of knowledge is changing, and one consequence of this is that purposive (practical) knowledge creation involves multiple disciplines. Reed has been at the forefront of educating knowledge creators and users since its beginning, and now must continue its history of adaption to the changing nature of knowledge. I will begin with a 45 minute presentation of how knowledge creation has changed, how Reed is a leader in this progress, and suggest new ways Reed could stay in the forefront. Instructor: Jim Kahan
