Pride and Prejudice
Adapted by Molly Brownson ‘24
Directed by Daniel Yogi
Performed by Molly Brownson and Joaquin Pellegrin-Alvarez
“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife."
Content Warnings: classism, sexism, discussions of predatory behavior.
Before Pride and Prejudice was ever on screen, it was onstage – and before that, it was on the page. Jane Austen’s timeless story of love and understanding has been adapted and reinvented countless times, yet in this staged adaptation of the original text, we explore the theatrical power it always had. At once a metanarrative project, a play, and a reading, come explore Pride and Prejudice with us as we explore Jane Austen’s wondrous, witty words through scenes staged to the original text itself.
The Amazing C and Lil'B Take Portland!

In a city not far away with a name bearing striking resemblance to your own…  two survivors seek comfort in each other and justice in the slow killing of perpetrators of sexual crimes as the Amazing C*** and Lil’ B**** — do you feel safe?
This thesis is all about making the play a safe place for everyone involved— especially survivors. There will be an advocate available outside during the show in case anyone needs support. The script leans towards dark comedy.

Open to the public. Tickets required. Purchase tickets (one ticket gets you in to both shows) here.
