Before Pride and Prejudice was ever on screen, it was onstage – and before that, it was on the page. Jane Austen’s timeless story of love and understanding has been adapted and reinvented countless times, yet in this staged adaptation of the original text, we explore the theatrical power it always had. At once a metanarrative project, a play, and a reading, come explore Pride and Prejudice with us as we explore Jane Austen’s wondrous, witty words through scenes staged to the original text itself.

This thesis is all about making the play a safe place for everyone involved— especially survivors. There will be an advocate available outside during the show in case anyone needs support. The script leans towards dark comedy.
