How do we repair our fractured democracy? Harvard political theorist Danielle Allen believes the path to health lies through re-building a supermajority of people—of all political ideologies—ready to work together to support constitutional democracy. In a time of increased polarization and weakening trust, it might seem impossible to create such a supermajority. But Allen will show us where and how we can build this supermajority, and why it is important.

Danielle Allen is a professor of political philosophy, public policy, and ethics at Harvard University as well as a distinguished author and mom. She is Director of the Allen Lab for Democracy Renovation, Director of the Democratic Knowledge Project, and James Bryant Conant University Professor, one of Harvard’s highest honors. She is also Founder and Chairperson of Partners In Democracy. At Partners In Democracy, she advocates for democracy renovation to create greater voice and access in our democracy, and drive progress towards a new social contract that serves and includes us all.
