This event is aimed at Reed alumni who are newly arrived in the DC area and any currents students who happen to be in DC for fall break!
Come hang out with alumni and schmooze; those in attendance should be prepared to ask or answer questions involving anything from housing advice, career options, suggested venues for socializing (bars, restaurants, dance joints, clubs, neighborhoods, etc.), as well as opportunities for alumni engagement with members of the most active alumni chapter in the country. Note that members of the class of '17 get to eat and drink for free.
As for Timber Pizza, Argentinian Executive Chef Dani Moreira (previously of the Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park in NYC) has been elevating the Timber dining experience since early 2016. Described as "Neapolitan-ish," the individual-sized pies include the Green Monster (pesto, fresh mozzarella, feta cheese, zucchini & kale); The Julia (olive oil, provolone, mozzarella, pea-shoot pesto, asparagus, snow peas, seasonal greens, sesame seeds & lemongrass dressing); and The Bentley (tomato sauce, provolone, mozzarella, cured chorizo, soppressata, Peruvian sweet peppers & spicy honey). Delicious add-ons include pumpkin seeds, pepperoni, mushrooms & slow-roasted pork.
