Reed Arts Fest is a celebration of Reed creatives. Students will have the opportunity to sell and display their artwork, perform, partake in live art-making activities, and hopefully take a much-needed breather during reading week. Catering provided.

The in-person festival is a great opportunity to use what you’ve got: maybe you have  leftover sculptures from a studio class that need a loving home, or you’ve got some great photos that could be made into prints or postcards. Maybe you’ve mastered one-minute portraiture, or you want to paint live. This is designed to be a fun, low-stakes event where we can celebrate everyone’s artworks together. You’ll receive $40 from us for participating, plus whatever money you earn through sales.

RAW Grants: An opportunity for students to receive funding for their art projects,

For the RAW grant, we will award up to $500 per student for any given art project. If you work in a group of three, for example, your group could receive a maximum award of $1500. We invite applications for projects that make use of any and all artistic media– from visual art to theatre, dance, music and performance. To keep things easier for all of us, we will purchase the supplies for you, so there’s no need to keep track of receipts or fill out disbursement forms.

We don’t anticipate that these projects will be finished before the end of the year, but we do ask that you send us some kind of update by June 30th, whether it’s a picture of a work-in-progress, or something else. We’re so excited to see what you can do! More information here.
