This Radical Embodiment Workshop combines reflection, art, discussion, and skill-building. We will explore our body narratives and cultivate awareness, empowerment, connection, and community.

As a community we will work to create a space that centers fat, disabled, BIPOC, queer and trans students, with a focus on body liberation.

Please note that this is not clinical therapy, and not intended to replace clinical therapy or treatment, but a space to explore, connect, and empower. To receive assistance connecting with a therapist and/or treatment team for body and eating-related support, please contact the HCC for resources.

This will be a four-part series so please plan on attending all four sessions. Pre-registration is required for participation in this workshop. Registration will close on 9/16, or after registration has reached capacity

When: Wednesdays from 3-4pm, starting on 9/21 for 4 weeks (9/21, 9/28, 10/5, and 10/12) Where: Gray Campus Center, Room C Participants: All students are welcome

To-go snacks will be provided
Facilitated by HCC counselors Miriam Saucedo, LPC and Briana S Hayes, LMFT

** please note, given the partnership with the HCC and the indoor meeting location, we ask that participants wear masks (due to COVID-19) during the workshop.

If you have any questions about the workshop, please contact Miriam at msaucedo@reed.edu or Briana at bhayes@reed.edu.
