Join the physics major alumni group (students and non-physics majors are welcome, too!) for a virtual talk on Monday, December 4 at 5pm PT/8pm ET. We will hear from Muldrow Etheredge ’17 about his string theory research.

Muldrow Etheredge ’17 received his BA in Mathematics/Physics from Reed, and is currently a PhD student at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. This winter he will start as a KITP Graduate Research Fellow in Santa Barbara. His research deals with string theory—he investigates what string theory fundamentally is, its phenomenological consequences, and its deep connections with Quantum Field Theory.

We'll also have some time at the end of the event to introduce ourselves, socialize, and talk about our paths from Reed to the present. We look forward to seeing you there!
