Are you currently living off-campus or are thinking of moving off-campus? Renting a place can be tricky as it means dealing with landlords, repairs, rent increases, and roommates, etc. Not everybody understands rental laws before they become a landlord/tenant, and college students often get put at risk due to their lack of experience. But this does not mean that you can't uphold your rights as a tenant! Community Alliance of Tenant (CAT), a Portland-based non-profit dedicated to educating and empowering tenants to demand safe, stable, and affordable rental homes, will be hosting a tenant rights workshop to help Reedies navigate the potential problems for off-campus housing. Come to learn about resources for supporting Portland tenants, how to protect your legal rights as a tenant, how to look for affordable housing, and anything you'd want to know about renting in Portland!

This workshop will be conducted over Zoom:

There will be time at the end of the session reserved for Q+A and participants are welcome to prepare their questions ahead of time.
