What is a set? This course will go over 5 of the axioms of ZFC set theory, and it will examine how these simple axioms can be used to construct common mathematical tools like ordered pairs, functions, and Cartesian products. It will also discuss common ideas and tricks in set-theoretic proofs. Based on Paul Halmos' Naive Set Theory.

Mostly the same material as last year. Split into a 2-day sequence (2nd depends on first). Please bring a writing implement.
