Join us for a FREE screening of Georges Bizet's Carmen, performed by the Washington National Opera, featuring Isabel Leonard and Matthew Fabiano. It will be shown on the jumbotron at Audi Field on Buzzard Point in southwest DC (a couple of blocks from Nationals Stadium). The show begins at 4 p.m. on September 25, but the gates open at 2 p.m. We have the option of sitting in the stands or on the soccer field (where neither chairs nor shoes with cleats are allowed). Bring blankets or sheets on which to sit. In case of rain, large sections of seating will be under a roof.

As far as we can tell, the usual rule at Audi Field forbidding outside food and drink will be enforced, so we will not be able to bring a picnic. Standard concessions will be open.

No need to RSVP, but if you note you are coming on Facebook or by email to plevy@citizen.org, we can make plans to meet up.

Public transit access by Metro: the stadium is equidistant from the Waterfront and Navy Yard stations on the Green Line. L’Enfant Plaza on the Green-Yellow and Blue-Orange Lines is about a half hour’s walk. There is little street parking and the nearby parking lots are generally very expensive.

Host: Paul Levy ’72
RSVP: On Facebook or to plevy@citizen.org by September 24 (appreciated but not required)
