About this Event
3203 Southeast Woodstock Boulevard, Portland, Oregon 97202-8199
We invite you to experience Mulch, a Butoh-inspired improvisational dance performance created by thesis candidate Dani Peterson in collaboration with performers Julia Mascola and Aulani Hsiao. We offer Mulch as a gift, a liminal space, and a guided meditation on our living bodies’ relationship to death, dying, and the dead. Join us as we slip into the space cradled in between things, uncovering what it might feel like for our bodies to lose their familiar shape and return to dirt.
Doors open at 7:00 p.m.; performances at 7:30 p.m. The space will remain open following both performances and on Saturday, 11/8 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. During these times, we encourage you to use the space to embark on your own embodied explorations, to simply inhabit and experience, or in any other way that feels meaningful to you.
Masks required (and provided). Shoes must be removed at the door (slippers provided).
Free and open to the public. Reservations required. Reserve your seat here.
