About this Event
3203 Southeast Woodstock Boulevard, Portland, Oregon 97202-8199
Participants will be introduced to the practice of using walking as an entry point for intentionality and mindfulness. Activities will include a 100 step walking meditation practice and the application of lectio divina to moving through the natural spaces of the Reed Canyon. We will explore how our walking through a habitat influences its more than human inhabitants, their influences on us, and what it means to be mindful in those engagements. Class will begin and end indoors, but a majority of the time will be spent outside, walking. The class will be held regardless of the weather. The ability to walk outdoors on unpaved and uneven ground is important. People with mobility challenges may contact the instructor before signing up to discuss possible accommodations or adaptations. Led by Gary Granger.
