"Simple Quadratic Feedback Shift Registers" -
I will describe some recent unclassified research I've done on feedback shift registers (FSRs), which have an important application to stream ciphers and data privacy. The focus of my talk will be on FSRs as mathematical objects. Applying undergraduate abstract algebra, statistics, and computer science, I will share some new discoveries about a simple family of nonlinear FSRs.
