Lewis & Clark MAT Information Session

Want to make a difference?  Consider teaching!

Have you ever considered a career as a teacher?  Are you interested in helping children or adolescents become passionate about subjects you love?  Right now, the job market for teachers in Oregon and nationally is better than it has been in years, and Oregon was recently identified as the best state in the country in which to work as a teacher.  If teaching is a a career you have wondered about, come and meet Dr. Liza Finkel, faculty member and Director of the Secondary MAT Program in the Graduate School of Education and Counseling at Lewis & Clark College.  In this session you will learn about Lewis & Clark's graduate teacher preparation programs, and about the great opportunities that await you as a teacher in Oregon, or wherever you choose to teach.

Lewis & Clark offers MAT programs for preservice teachers in the following areas at the Secondary level: science (physics, chemistry, biology, and integrated science), math, social studies, English Language Arts, and Visual Arts. They also offer an MAT program for people who want to be Elementary teachers.
