Follow the Mead Man and learn how humans made an art out of launching rocks, sticks, and other unsavory objects at things we didn't like. The first class is on the design and material choices of a traditional bow, with particular emphasis on Asiatic composites. Other projectile weapons may be discussed depending on how much time is left. The second class is on the history and use of the sling, with a majority of the time dedicated to teaching students to create and operate a basic sling. Instructor: Jackie Wu
