About this Event
"Cancer" sounds really modern to us. Nowadays, we have various high-tech treatments for this disease, including chemotherapy, radiation, even personalized treatment. Would ancient people get cancer? Animals? How did they treat cancer then? When we look at the previous, seemingly stupid methods from the perspective of modern people, how much can we learn from these lessons? Remember we are also part of this history, as cancer is still a big challenge for us. Based on the book The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, I will deliver a brief history of cancer, and related cancer research history. Led by Verona Yue.
