About this Event
3203 Southeast Woodstock Boulevard, Portland, Oregon 97202-8199
A round table discussion featuring Professor Eric Naiman (University of California, Berkeley), Professor Jake Fraser (Reed College), and Sophia Helverson ’15 (Ph.D. student in French at Yale University).
Based on their recent and current experiences at UC Berkeley, University of Chicago, and Yale, the round table participants will discuss how the modern-language and CompLit graduate training has (and has not) been changing in today's intellectual, professional, and media environments. Most of the panel will be devoted to the Q&A. Anyone entertaining, however vaguely, thoughts of attending graduate school in these fields, please come and ask your questions!
Open to the Reed community and Portland-area college students. Sponsored by the Division of Literature and Languages.
