About Financial Wellness Advisory Group

The Financial Wellness Advisory Group is excited to present our Fall 2024 Financial Wellness Semester Series. We are a team of students, faculty, and staff that coordinates new programming about financial wellness and centralizes information about existing resources that support the financial wellbeing of students at Reed. 

The following four basic workshops are designed to help reach your financial goals. Snacks and refreshments are provided.

Tust, Associate Treasurer and Controller, and Lynn Valenter, Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, for a interactive introduction to investing tailored to students. Purrfect Credit: Intro to the Basics, Monday, October 7, 2024, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm in GCC-BCD

Get a handle on overwhelming technical vocab and confusing terms and conditions with Reed’s own Lillian Karabaic, host of OPB’s “Weekend Edition”. Learn to find a credit card, beef up your credit score to score that dream apartment, and get down to brass tacks on credit card debt. Copies of Lillian’s book, “A Cat’s Guide to Money”, will be provided to attendees as supplies last. If you attended our last workshop, a copy will be held for you to pick up. Student Life is providing snacks and refreshments.
