In this workshop, we will discuss how to design long research projects for the classroom. Dana Katz (Art History) and Mary Ashburn Miller (History) will offer strategies for incorporating incremental learning practices to help students execute a semester-long research project, including group work, peer-to-peer teaching, and assignment and syllabus design. Together they will offer new ways to integrate long research papers into the class structure to help students gain research skills, prepare for thesis, and acquire a sense of mastery over their research.

The workshop will begin at noon, but lunch will be served starting at 11:30. Feel free to come early and get started to make the most of your time in the workshop. RSVP here.
