A premiere performance of a song-cycle based on the life of a Russian woman born in the Soviet era, raised in privation and hardship.
She was a woman of spirit and strength who achieved success professionally. In late middle age she met a man from Portland -a political science professor from PSU. They fell in love, she left Russia, and they married. They had twenty good years together here in Portland before her death.
