Local string player, Leslie Hirsch, will be eighty this November. In celebration of this event there will be a performance of chamber works commissioned by her from Portland composer, John Vergin. These works span a period of thirty years, and include various combinations of voices, strings, and woodwinds. Many of the works are personal in nature, reflecting events and relationships in Leslie's life. Also performed will be other works by Vergin. Many pieces that day will receive their first hearing.

Admission is by donation, the proceeds to go toward scholarships for Reed music students. (Free for the Reed Community)
