In this talk, Dr. Loomis will discuss research estimating the economic value to Washington and Oregon households from restoring salmon and forests after the removal of the dam on Washington’s Elwha River.

Dr. John Loomis is a professor at Colorado State University. He is the author or coauthor of five books, including Integrated Public Lands Management, 2nd Ed., as well as more than 250 journal articles dealing with economic valuation of non-marketed natural resources. He is a Fellow of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists and of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association.
