Fifty years ago this week, the first message was sent across the ARPANET, the forerunner of today's Internet. For our CS colloquium this week, Reed is pleased to welcome Ben Barker, hardware wizard extraordinaire and member of the ARPANET team at Bolt Beranek and Newman, Inc., who will share his memories of the early days, reflect on the growth of computer networking since its launch in 1969, and speculate on what lies ahead in the networking world.
