DESCRIPTION:Garbled Circuits: What they are and what they are good for -\nI
n this talk I will describe Garbled Circuits\, a technique for doing secure
multiparty computation\, in which two parties would like to compute some f
unction on their private inputs without revealing anything about their inpu
ts besides what can be learned from the function output. I will cover the b
asic Garbled Circuit construction alongside several optimizations\, in a wa
y that hopefully gets across the core ideas of the approach to those with n
o prior knowledge in the area. I will end with some novel uses of Garbled C
ircuits that we are exploring at Galois.
