COVID-19 PREVENTION

In order to help protect the health of event participants and our community, Reed College is following the advice of the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding mass gatherings and large community events. Some programs and events at Reed may be canceled or postponed due to COVID-19 prevention efforts.

Prior to attending an event, we strongly encourage you to check Reed’s events calendar at events.reed.edu for status updates. Questions? Please contact the conference & events planning office at 503-777-7522.

Community Dance at Reed

The Reed College Dance Department is excited to announce open community dance sessions. These sessions are a collective forum for moving and talking about social, cultural, and identity-based issues that community members bring to the table. We welcome all bodies, with a critical awareness of how race, class, ability, gender, and sexuality impact the ways we relate to ourselves and one another in public. Over the semester, we will collaboratively create a dance work, based on a theme of the group's choosing, that will be presented at the Winter Dance Concert (December 2019). Attendance at every session is not required to participate in the final Winter Dance Concert. No previous dance experience required to participate.

This is free and open to the public.
