Liz Starke is community activist and development diva centered in intersectional feminism. Since 2014 she has been the Development Director at Rose Haven, the ONLY day shelter and community center serving women, children and marginalized genders experiencing homelessness and interesting traumas in Portland. For 4 years she was the chair of Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette's Sexy Tuesdays Planning Committee where she organized special events to raise awareness about sexual and reproductive healthcare. Liz helped make marriage equality a reality through volunteerism with Human Rights Campaign, and she has served on the Board of Directors for Focus on Youth, helping to build their community garden for homeless kids and the Seeds of Hope program. Liz also currently volunteers with 99 girlfriends, a radical collective giving foundation of all women, where she is in their Fellows Program.
