About this Event
Kristin Scheible will provide a quick introduction to key Buddhist conceptions of (no)self (anattā), impermanence (anicca), and dis-ease/suffering (dukkha), and then will lead a really rich discussion based on a recent article (Emily McRae, "White Delusion and Avidyā," in Yancy and McRae, eds., Buddhism and Whiteness). To read the short article in advance (not required!), email email@example.com. It will be pre-highlighted for an expedient reading experience. No previous work on Buddhism is expected, no identity (i.e., Buddhist, white) presumed; this is open to all and will be a 60-90 minute discussion.
