This class will explain why the south eastern rain forest of Brazil is one of the great birding destinations in the world. A very recent trip to this magically avian part of the planet has provided many photos and recordings of the species there. The author spent his second sabbatical at the Federal University in Minas Gerais in 2000, and during that sabbatical visited the Itatiaia National Park which is situated deep in the Mata Atlantica.
