About this Event
Nüshu is a character system invented by and belongs to women living in Jiangyong County, Yongzhou, Hunan, China. Focusing on Nüshu’s discovery, history, and cultural practices as an intangible heritage, the speaker will share her experience of fieldwork in Jianyong. A fun activity of practicing writing Nüshu calligraphy will also be held at the end of the class.
