"What’s next, my friends, is clear. I must kill the children quickly and be gone. I gave them life and now I’ll give them death—my heart all dagger. Do it. Don’t flinch. You must."

But can there be an alternate ending to this story? In this postmodern retelling, the ensemble enacts the ritual of performing Medea--walking the thin line between fate and free will. Can Medea be stopped? Can the children be saved? Is there choice in tragedy? Join us for an evening of virtuosic physical theatre, original music, and a little bit of queer magic.

Performances are November 8, 9, 14, 15, or 16, and feature Reed Theatre students under the direction of Jaclyn Pryor, Assistant Professor of Theatre. Seats are very limited for these exclusive performances. We recommend purchasing your seats in advance. Get your tickets here.

If you have any ADA requests as a guest, please email boxoffice@reed.edu so we can assist you.

For attendees of this event, please come as fragrance-free as possible.

Accessibility Information:
The Studio Theatre is located on the 1st floor of the Performing Arts Building (PAB) on the west side of campus. The closest parking lot is the west lot located off 28th Avenue. There are several ADA parking spaces from this lot, and there are no steps to enter the PAB on the west side. If coming from the east side of campus, use the 3rd floor sky bridge to access the 3rd floor and take the elevator to the 1st floor. There is a gently-sloping ramp up to the 3rd floor with ADA push-button doors at the entrance. Railings are present both outside and inside.

There are accessible restrooms located on each floor (1st floor restrooms are on the east side of the building, 2nd & 3rd floor restrooms are adjacent to the elevator alcove). Gender-neutral restrooms are located on the 2nd floor by the elevator and on the first floor adjacent to the men's restroom.

Restrooms provide scent-free, ecological hand soaps and cleaners are also ecological, but have a very slight fragrance. Restrooms are cleaned in the morning.

The nearest bus stop is located on Woodstock Boulevard near the Great Lawn. From this stop, head toward the PAB on the west side and use the 3rd floor sky bridge from the sidewalk to access the building. The distance from the bus stop to the PAB is several hundred feet, moving along a sidewalk without steps but with both slight inclines and declines.
