Many of the students at Reed show interest in participating in more environmentally friendly diets, such as cutting out palm oil, becoming vegetarian or vegan, or eating more healthily, but many don't know how, or are unsure that they can do it. Sustainable Food Night will be a showcase of what alternative earth-friendly products are available, and feature booths of information about the impacts of food waste and different food choices. Greenboard and Vegan Kult will prepare all kinds of food items for people to try, with allergies specially cared for and notated (I have severe allergies myself), and will raise the student body's consciousness about eating healthy and ethically (fun items like soymilk shakes and more will be offered). It will also be a fun night for the student body to gather in the SU in a non-party context, make friends, and consider their impact on the planet.
