Ry Cooder is in the house!!!! As many of you know Ry is an American musician, songwriter, film score composer, and record producer. He is a multi-instrumentalist but is best known for his slide guitar work, his interest in roots music from the United States, and his collaborations with traditional musicians from many countries, AND A REEDIE!!!
Ry is playing Friday, June 8th at The Town Hall at 123 W 43rd St, New York, NY 10036! The show starts at 8 so everyone that isn’t going to reunions (and everyone whose graduating years do or should have ended in an 8 or 3 should be going to reunions), should get a ticket (still available) and go to see Ry!
For those going let’s meet at Virgil’s Real BBQ, conveniently located at 152 W 44th St, New York, NY 10036, about a slow four minute walk to the theater! So let’s meet around 6:30, grab dinner and go to the show! Then we can reconvene there after for a post-show beverage, dessert, and discussion about how wonderful the show was! If you don’t want to see Ry show up anyway before and after and visit with your fellow Reedies!
So please join us for the Reed New York City Get Together on June 8th at 6:30 PM at Virgil’s BBQ and the Town Hall! Come by to eat, chat, visit, and discuss the alumni chapter and future events! RSVP if you wish to Brian Graham-Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org. See you there!
