Reed College

Concert: Tango of Today!

Straight from Buenos Aires, the world-renowned artistic faculty of Tango for Musicians at Reed College will perform a unique program which will include original tango compositions and arrangements of their own in different instrumental settings, showcasing the vitality of tango in the 21st century.

Featuring Ramiro Gallo (violin), Paulina Fain (flute), Pablo Jaurena (bandoneon), Exequiel Mantega (piano), Adrián Enríquez (piano) and Ignacio Varchausky (bass).

Prior to the featured artists, a large Tango Typical Orchestra composed of more than 15 musicians hailing from the US, Canada, Australia, and other parts of the globe will perform the pieces workshopped during the week as part of the intensive Tango for Musicians at Reed College 2018 program.

Tickets are $25, general admission, and are available here. Tickets are available at the discounted price of $10 each to members of the Reed community (current students, faculty, and staff). Reed community members may email tango@reed.edu from their Reed email address to request the discount code.
